- New teaser reveals LCD instrument cluster
- To feature Bluetooth connectivity with call and message notification
- Likely to get turn-by-turn navigation
The Hero Mavrick 440 is set to be launched on 23 Januaryand in the run-up to the event a new teaser video on the company’s social media handles has revealed details of the LCD instrument cluster.
As is visible in the images, the display features Bluetooth connectivity. This will allow one to pair their phone with the cluster using a dedicated app. Once paired, the display will show incoming calls, missed calls, message notifications and phone battery status. Besides this, it’ll also feature turn-by-turn navigation and the estimated time of arrival at the destination.
The teaser also reveals details about the information that the cluster displays. You’ve got a large speedo that dominates the center, with a gear indicator at the top right and an engine rev counter on the left. It gives away the engine’s redline that sits at 6,000rpm. Other information on display includes fuel range, average fuel consumption, and a trip meter.
Hero may launch multiple variants of the Mavrick 440. If that turns out to be the case, expect to see the top variant receive the Bluetooth connectivity-equipped instrument cluster.
To recap, the Hero Mavrick 440 is based on the Harley-Davidson X440. It’ll be powered by the same 440cc, single-cylinder engine. It makes 27bhp and 38Nm in the Harley and it’ll be interesting to see if or what changes will Hero make to the state of tune to suit the Mavrick’s application.
