- Based on the Harley-Davidson X440
- Features a power-roadster design philosophy
- Will be launched in February 2024
The Hero Mavrick 440 has been unveiled in India at the Hero World 2024. The motorcycle is co-developed in association with Harley-Davidson and is based on the X440 roadster.
The Mavrick 440 will be available in five colour options that will be spread across three variants. The base version will be offered with spoke wheels and will be available in a single Arctic White paint scheme. The mid variant will get alloy wheels and will be available in two colours - Celestial Blue and Fearless Red. The top-spec trim will be offered with machined alloys and will be available in Phantom Black and Enigma Black colour options.
Bookings for the Mavrick 440 will commence in February 2024, which is when the company will also launch the motorcycle in India. Meanwhile, deliveries of the bike will commence from April 2024.
The Mavrick 440 features muscular styling with a brawny-looking fuel tank that gets extended shrouds. Meanwhile, the fascia is dominated by a round headlamp with an LED projector setup and an H-shaped DRL. That said, it gets a stubby tail section and a scooped-out, single-piece seat, while the flat tubular handlebar lends a sporty stance to the motorcycle.
In terms of features, the Hero Mavrick 440 gets full LED lighting and a fully-digital instrument cluster complete with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call and message alerts. Other features include a USB-C charging port, and a slipper clutch.
The Hero Maverick 440 uses the same 440cc, oil-cooled engine that powers the Harley-Davidson X440. The single-cylinder motor pumps out 27bhp and a peak torque of 36Nm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox and gets an assist and slipper clutch as standard.
