Hero MotoCorp has decided to decrease the price of their two-wheelers following the cut in excise duty that India’s Union Finance Minister, Mr. Chidambaram, announced recently.

The decrease in prices across Hero MotoCorp’s portfolio would go up to Rs 4,500 for its flagship models. These price cuts will range from two per cent to up to five percent for the different products in their line-up.

Hero MotoCorp Ltd (HMCL), in a statement to ET, said, "We have decided to pass on the entire benefit of the excise duty cut to our customers. We have judiciously spread out the price cut across our product portfolio ranging from two per cent going up to five per cent with the maximum reduction being Rs 4,500."
