Hero MotoCorp has commenced dispatch of the 2017 Glamour across the country. The new Glamour was recently spotted at a dealership in Assam, though the company has withheld the price of this motorcycle.
The new Hero Glamour was unveiled earlier this year in Argentina, where we also took it for a brief spin at a race track. Cosmetic changes include an edgier headlamp, muscular tank and a sharper tail section. The instrument cluster also gets a new layout. Based on a new single downtube frame, the 2017 Glamour is powered by a 125cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, delivering 11.4bhp and 11Nm of torque. Like the outgoing model, the new Glamour is offered in both carburetted and fuel injected versions. Hero’s proprietary i3S system is offered as a standard.
The new Glamour is available in four dual-tone paint schemes – blue/black, red/black, silver black and dark red/black. We can expect it to be around Rs 2,000 more expensive than the outgoing model. It competes with the Honda CB Shine, TVS Phoenix, Bajaj Discover 125 and Yamaha Saluto.
