Hero MotoCorp recently crossed the 100 million (10 crore) cumulative production milestone, becoming India’s only two-wheeler brand to achieve this feat. The 100millionth two-wheeler produced by the brand at its Haridwar plant was the Hero Xtreme 160R. Interestingly, the company marked this occasion by sharing its future plans related to the expansion of its product portfolio and global reach.
Hero MotoCorp revealed that it will introduce over 10 products every year over the next five years. These will include new variants and updated versions of the existing products. It will also focus on expanding its global footprint while working on new and unique product concepts. Hero has also revealed its intentions to reduce its carbon footprint through its eco-friendly facilities and fuel-efficient two-wheelers.
There’s also exciting news for those planning to buy a Hero product anytime soon. To commemorate the achievement of this milestone, Hero will launch celebratory edition models of six offerings including the Splendor Plus, Passion Pro, Glamour, Xtreme 160R, Destini 125 and Maestro Edge 110. These special edition trims will go on sale next month.
