Hero MotoCorp had resumed production and sales operations in May 2020. The company re-opened over 1,500 customer touch-points including authorised dealerships and service centres in India (as on 11 May). Now, the two-wheeler manufacturer has reported its sales performance for May 2020.
The company stated in its press announcement that it dispatched 1,12,682 two-wheelers in May 2020. The number includes 1,06,038 motorcycles and 6,644 scooters. In comparison, Hero MotoCorp had sold 652,028 units in the corresponding month last year. Check out the detailed sales numbers below:
Hero MotoCorp gradually scaled-up production during the month, after reopening three of its manufacturing facilities on 4 May 2020. All six manufacturing facilities of Hero MotoCorp in India have now resumed operations with limited production. The company’s manufacturing facilities in Colombia and Bangladesh also restarted production during the month.
Apart from production, nearly 5,000 customer touch-points of Hero MotoCorp have now re-opened with strict safety measures in place. Hero MotoCorp added in its press statement that the company has also serviced nearly 15 lakh two-wheelers last month.
