Hero MotoCorp has reported a 14 per cent increase in their overall March sales. The company sold 6,06,542 units in March as compared to 5,31,750 units in the same month last year.
As per the company, this growth was a result in strong demand for its Splendor and Passion range of motorcycles. In fact, the company’s 125cc products – the Super Splendor and the Glamour saw a great demand too, making it the highest selling models in the segment. In the scooter segment as well, the Maestro Edge and the Duet have helped the Gurgaon-based manufacturer increase its volumes in the fast growing segment.
Along with a good performance in the domestic market, Hero MotoCorp expanded its footprint in 30 countries. The company also commenced operations at its new Centre of Innovation of Technology in Jaipur.
“Closing the financial year 2015-16 with augmented leadership at home and expanded global footprint – five years since we commenced our solo journey - is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction for all of us at Hero MotoCorp. In the past five years, we have consolidated our leadership in the face of a volatile market and intense competitive environment, even as Brand Hero has become globally known, with presence in about 30 countries across Asia, Africa and Central & South America," said Pawan Munjal, CEO & MD, Hero MotoCorp.
