Hero MotoCorp has reported a 9.13 per cent increase in their overall sales in July 2016. The company sold 5,23,113 units as compared to 4,87,580 units in the same month last year.
While the company doesn’t reveal model-wise figures, it’s the Splendor range of motorcycles that helped the company with this growth. The second highest selling bikes for the Gurgaon-based manufacturer is the Passion, which has a really good share in the crowded 100cc segment.
Hero MotoCorp said that their 125cc range which consists of the Glamour and the Super Splendor has helped them to continue dominating the 125cc space. However, the CB Shine from Honda is by far the highest selling 125cc motorcycle in India. In terms of the scooter growth, the Duet contributes the most, followed by the Maestro Edge.
The Splendor iSmart 110 – Hero’s first ever in-house developed motorcycle was launched recently. With this bike, the company plans to disrupt the 110cc segment, where there are other bikes like the Dream series and the TVS Victor. With the upcoming festive season and the implementation of the seventh pay commission, the sales is bound to grow for the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer.
