Hero MotoCorp’s Gurgaon workers will be going on a hunger strike on February 28. This move comes after a series of negotiations between the management and the workers failed which for a salary increment of Rs 15,000 per month over a period of three years. However the management has accepted to increase somewhere between Rs 7500 and Rs 9000.
"There has been no progress and the Hero management is bent upon forcing its stand of minor hikes only. We have now decided to go on hunger strike to press our demands and a notice has been issued to the company. But for now only the union’s office bearers will be participating in this hunger strike and rest of the workers will continue to work." said a protesting worker.
