Hero MotoCorp launches the new HF Dawn at Rs 39,370

The updated Hero HF Dawn has been launched in India at Rs 39,370 (ex-showroom Delhi). Terming it as the new form of common man’s ‘public transport’, Hero MotoCorp is targeting the rural and urban customers, who are looking for a hassle-free and efficient motorcycle for commuting. 

The HF Dawn has been developed keeping in mind the needs of the rural customers, and focuses more on functionality rather than style. The instrument cluster has been updated with a side-stand indicator, while the headlamp is now extra powerful offering better illumination. The extra wide seat and adjustable rear suspension have been designed to provide maximum comfort on uneven terrains. 

The new HF Dawn retains the tubular double cradle frame and the 97.2cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. This engine produces 8.2bhp and 8.05Nm of torque and has been tuned to extract maximum fuel efficiency. This engine is also used in other 100cc commuter motorcycles like the Splendor, Passion and HF Deluxe, and comes mated to a four-speed constant mesh transmission. 

The HF Dawn is offered with revised decals and five new paint schemes – red, red/black, silver, maroon and purple/black. The HF Dawn is the most affordable motorcycle in Hero MotoCorp’s line-up and rivals other entry-level commuter motorcycles like the Mahindra Pantero, Yamaha Crux, TVS Star City Plus and the Bajaj Discover 100.
