- Likely to launch updated scooters soon
- Updated models to get OBD2-A upgrade
- Launch scheduled on 6 March, 2023
Hero MotoCorp has released a teaser image on its social media handles, stating a major announcement scheduled to take place on 6 March, 2023. The two-wheeler maker has posted a photograph of Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in its social media posts. The actors are the brand ambassadors for the company’s scooters. Thus, we expect to see the launch of OBD2-A-compliant scooters in the Indian market on the aforementioned date.
Do note that rival brands like Honda 2Wheelers India, Suzuki Motorcycles India, and India Yamaha Motors have already updated their several models to comply with the newest emission norms. This On-board Diagnostics System helps in detecting system failures and illuminates the console lights to indicate any faults in the vehicle system.
Hero MotoCorp’s scooter portfolio comprises Pleasure Plus, Destini 125, Maestro Edge 110, Maestro Edge 125, and the newly launched Xoom. Do note that despite being launched very recently, the Xoom isn’t OBD2-A compliant yet. The updated scooter range will continue to feature the same specifications as the outgoing models. Meanwhile, Hero MotoCorp may update the colour palette for select models for 2023.
