Hero MotoCorp sold 17.98 lakh units of two-wheelers in the third quarter (October-December) of the fiscal year 2019. With this, the company has recorded a sales growth of 5.3 per cent over the same period in the last financial year. However, the total income of the company dropped from Rs 810 crore in Q3 2018 to Rs 766 crore in Q3 2019.
Hero MotoCorp recently established a research and development centre in Germany. It will be operated concertedly with Hero’s Centre of Innovation and Technology in Jaipur and will focus on the development of new concepts and technologies. Moreover, it will also act as the main base for the Hero MotoSports team rally where the product development of rally machines and participation activities will take place.
While the company recently launched the Xtreme 200R street bike and the Destini 125 family-oriented scooter, it will be launching more products in the months to come. This list is also likely to consist of the Maestro Edge 125 scooter which will be a more youth-oriented model. Meanwhile, the XPulse 200 and 200T premium motorcycles are also likely to be introduced by March.
