In its latest move to improve its overall organisational structure, Hero MotoCorp has reshuffled its sales and marketing team at the zonal level. This time the company is believed to have taken its young talents into consideration and has promoted them to head up two important sales zones.
The east zone will now be head by Ashutosh Varma who previously was a part of the north sales team. Mahesh Hiramath is the zonal head of the south region. He was previously leading the Gujarat market. These new positions will be affective from September 1.
This is the second time the Gurgaon based manufacturer is reshuffling its employees. Few days ago, it reshuffled its top level management in order to gain back its lost market share in the Indian two-wheeler industry and at the same time concentrate in international markets.
The main management had realised the power of young talents to grow a business in an efficient manner. Few months ago, Pawan Munjal called a town hall with young employees (managers and senior level managers were strictly not allowed in this meeting) to understand their problems and take feedback.
"These are radical changes required to bring an organisational culture that would promote meritocracy across the entire value chain...and build a rewards system based on performance in order to create a 'global corporation' in scale, in culture and in thought.... To provide conditions where our best and brightest people would get opportunities to grow beyond their wildest expectations," said Pawan Munja, CEO and MD, Hero MotoCorp.
