- 4.50 lakh motorcycles and scooters sold in March

Hero Motocorp has announced a 21.98 per cent decline in total sales for March 2022. It sold 4.50 lakh two-wheelers sold last month as compared to the 5.76 lakh units sold in March 2021. That said, the company witnessed a 25.65 per cent month-on-month growth last month against the 3.58 lakh units sold in February 2021.
In India, the sales dropped to 4.15 lakh units in March 2022 from 5.44 lakh units sold in the same month last year. However, the export numbers for the company increased by 7.09 per cent with 34,930 two-wheelers sold abroad as against the 32,617 units shipped in March 2021. Nonetheless, out of the total number, motorcycles contributed to 4.25 lakh units while 24,433 units were scooters.
In the past month, Hero launched the Destini Xtec with cosmetic and feature updates. And in the coming months, we could have some development on the upcoming Xpulse 300 as well.
