Hero MotoCorp has announced their highest ever sales for any financial year. They declared that their total sales increased by 11.9 per cent with 5,24,028 two wheelers being sold in March 2014. The company had sold 4,68,283 units in the same month last year.
Amidst the sluggish sales reported by other manufacturers, Hero MotoCorp has shown a steady growth. With the financial year ending on March 31, the company made sales of 62,45,895 units in comparison to the 60,75,583 units sold in the corresponding period last year. This shows a growth of 3 per cent over 2012-13.
Mr. Anil Dua, Sr. Vice-President (Marketing & Sales), Hero MotoCorp said, “Our strong sales performance in FY’14 is reflective of our new strategic approach that focuses on bringing revolutionary and game-changing technologies. Our retail growth at seven per cent during FY’14 reiterates the confidence and trust that customers have in our products. This kind of retail growth has significantly given us the necessary momentum for the new financial year.”
Hero MotoCorp displayed a slew of two wheelers at the Auto Expo. From amongst these refreshed models and concepts displayed at their stand, none of the products were launched at the biennial event. However, post the event, the company launched the Hero Splendor iSmart equipped with the start-stop technology. This product is enjoying a good demand in the Indian market. With the launch of many more products from the company lined up for this year, we expect the two-wheeler manufacturer to further increase their sales.
