Hero MotoCorp has reported a 3.6 per cent increase in sales in October. The company sold 6,63,153 unit last month as compared to 6,39,802 units in October 2015.
The company saw a marginal growth due to the festive season. Just like every month, the Splendor range of motorcycles contributed the most sales, followed by the Passion range. Hero’s two latest scooters – the Maestro Edge and the Duet have been bringing in good numbers for the company as well. This has helped them increase their share in the segment, which is currently dominated by Honda.
Hero MotoCorp is switching its focus to the premium motorcycle segment now. With the updated Achiever 150 in the market, the Gurgaon-based manufacturer now wants to get a product that will sit in the premium segment and we believe the Xtreme 200S will be the next one. In fact, the company is going to unveil a new motorcycle in Argentina at the end of Dakar Rally 2016 and there’s a high chance of it being the Xtreme 200S.
