- Hero records sales growth of 7.55 per cent in August 2020
- Dispatched 5,84,456 units last month
- Increased motorcycle sales drove the company’s growth
Hero MotoCorp has recorded a hike of 7.55 per cent in its two-wheeler sales in August 2020. The company dispatched a total of 5,84,456 units as against 5,43,406 units in August 2019.
The aforementioned figure comprises of domestic sales as well as exports of motorcycles and scooters combined. Driving the company’s growth were increased sales of motorcycles which went up from 4,98,547 units in August 2019 to 5,44,658 units in the corresponding month this year. On the flip side, scooter sales witnessed a downfall from 44,859 units last year to 39,798 units this year. Furthermore, while Hero’s domestic sales rose substantially with 5,68,674 dispatches last month, exports saw a minor slump as they stood at 15,782 units.
Hero recently launched an all-new sporty commuter, the Xtreme 160R, in India. According to the manufacturer, the Xtreme has been well received by the audience so far and has led to an increase in the brand’s market share in the premium segment. The company has priced it at Rs 99,950 (front disc) and Rs 1,03,500 (dual disc) (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
