Hero MotoCorp sales grow by 8.7 per cent

India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp saw an 8.7 per cent increase with 6, 33,884 units sold in the month of May this year over the 5, 83,117 units sold in May 2016.

Hero MotoCorp recently discontinued eight bikes from its lineup and is planning new launches across segments. The manufacturer said that it expects a boost in sales in rural markets due to the timely arrival of the monsoon and a forecast of normal rain this year.

Internationally, the company has commenced production at its subsidiary plant, in Jessore, Bangladesh with a capacity of producing 1, 50,000 motorcycles per year. Hero MotoCorp says that it is positive about maintaining its growth in the coming months.
