Hero MotoCorp sales increased by eight per cent in May

Hero MotoCorp has registered an increase of eight per cent in its total sales in May. The company sold 6,02,481 units in May as compared to 5,57,890 units in the corresponding month last year.

Last month’s sales helped the Gurgaon-based manufacturer cross the six lakh mark for the second time, with first time being in October last year where it sold 6,25,420 units. The company has been aggressively marketing the Splendor iSmart through TV commercials. This development clearly shows that the company is concentrating more on promoting its new i3S technology.  We can expect more such promotions to be done when the company launches its scooter range which includes the Dare, Dash and Zir. 

"The year has started well with record-breaking sales in both April and May. The demand momentum is thanks to the regular summer surge as also to the recent new launches from Hero. We have also undertaken several brand-building initiatives that have helped us achieve these record numbers," said Anil Dua, senior vice president, marketing and sales, Hero MotoCorp.
