Hero MotoCorp has unveiled four new concepts at the 2016 Auto Expo. These four models are a part of different segments and preview the company’s strategy and the approach for its future products.
The Duet E, as the name suggests, is a fully-electric scooter. The Duet E is the face of Hero’s Greenovation strategy and shows the company’s commitment towards providing convenient and environment friendly mobility solution.
The Splendor iSmart is the first motorcycle to be developed completely in-house by Hero MotoCorp’s R&D team. Based on a new platform, this 110cc mass market commuter motorcycle will help Hero strengthen its position as the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer.
The Xtreme 200S earmarks Hero MotoCorps’s entry into the 200cc streetfighter segment. This concept aims to attract the youth with its formidable looks and modern elements.
The XF3R is a completely new concept bike which previews the company’s design philosophy for its performance range. This streetfighter combines existing characteristic Hero styling cues with futuristic design to offer a balance of form and function.
Besides these concepts, Hero MotoCorp also unveiled the HX250r and facelifted Karizma range at its pavilion. While the Karizma and the Karizma ZMR were discontinued long ago due to their dismal sales numbers, these facelifted models hint that the company might soon relaunch these bikes in the near future. The HX250R for now, continues to a be design study.
