Hero MotoCorp has started the construction of its fourth manufacturing plant located in Neemrana, Rajasthan. The company is investing Rs 550 crores for this project which will also have their new global parts center (GPC). The new plant is expected be operational by 2014.
Once ready, the new factory will employ 1000 people directly and will have annual capacity of 750,000 units.
"Both the facilities are expected to be operational towards the end of the financial year 2013-14.The state-of-the-art GPC will have automated storage and retrieval system, automated packaging and sorting system, on-line tracking of parts through warehouse management system (WMS)," the company statement said.
