Hero MotoCorp has permanently stopped production of its flagships models, the Karizma and the Karizma ZMR. Though it has been over a year since the company halted the production of the Karizma and the Karizma ZMR, the lack of demand for these motorcycles has resulted in dealerships getting stuck with 2014 manufactured models.
With this year coming to an end, dealerships are now eager to clear existing stocks before the value of these year old models further depreciate. Hero dealerships have started offering discounts on the Karizma and Karizma ZMR models, in an attempt to clear existing stock. While a few showrooms which don’t have these bikes in stock have stopped accepting orders, the ones stuck with 2014 models are trying to lure customers with discounts ranging from Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000.
While the previous generation Karizma models have been quite popular, the current revamped model has turned out to be a major dud. Despite it getting more power and a few contemporary features over the old bike, the quirky styling of the new Karizma failed to grasp the attention of the masses.
Sources inform us that a new Karizma model is expected to be unveiled post the 2016 Auto Expo. There is also a possibility of the company bringing a brand new product and label it Karizma, in the hopes of capitalising on the sentiment behind the moniker.
