Hero MotoCorp will launch fifteen new products starting from next month and continue to do so till March next year. Most of these new offerings will hit the Indian market in the October-December quarter, a way to cash in maximum sales due to festive season.
The company has developed three new engines (100cc,110cc and 250cc) at their own R&D center. It is very likely that a majority of the fifteen products will be powered by these new engines. The company will also launch a 250cc Karizma that has been jointly developed with their American technology partner Erik Buell Racing (EBR).
We also expect the company to showcase few new concept models at the 2014 Auto Expo. But launching 15 new products in just six months duration clearly shows how the Gurgaon based manufacturer is going aggressively with their plans to maintain its leadership position.
"What we are showing here today is a result of our own research and development with support from our technology partners. Earlier, we had said between September 2013 and March 2014 we will have over a dozen new offerings. Today, we have 15 new products here," said Pawan Munjal, managing director and CEO, Hero MotoCorp.
