Hero MotoCorp will launch a facelifted model of the Splendor Pro in the coming festive season. The weak demand in the first part of the year prompted this decision.
The Gurgaon-based manufacturer will look to the Splendor Pro to get a command over the sales. With the updated Splendor Pro launch, the company will also launch the Dash and the Duet scooter to take advantage of the festive season. Knowing Hero MotoCorp, the updated Splendor Pro will only get cosmetic changes. We are expecting it to get new decals and paint schemes, which would revive the product.
In terms of mechanicals, Hero MotoCorp will retain the 97cc engine that produces 8bhp at 8,000rpm and 8Nm at 5,000rpm. This engine is mated to a four-speed gearbox.
Over the last few months, the company has been focusing a lot on improving its overall sales, especially in the scooter segment. While the Maestro and the Pleasure have been doing decent in the Indian market, its upcoming two scooters – the Dash and the Duet will give them more volumes and market share.
