Hero Motocorp is expected to unveil a 300cc motorcycle at the 2018 Auto Expo. The bike will be the production version of the XF3R concept shown at the 2016 Auto Expo.
The bike is built from ground up and will get an all-new chassis and engine. While power figures are unknown, it is expected to be powered by a single-cylinder 300cc liquid-cooled engine, housed in a trellis frame. We expect the bike to get an aggressive design with a sculpted fuel tank and LED lighting for the headlamp and tail lamp unit. It is also likely to get a full-digital instrument display.
The XF3R concept got a single-sided swingarm, off-set rear monoshock and upside down front forks and an underseat exhaust. However, the production version could miss out on these features to keep costs in check.
The bike is expected to be launched between April and September this year, with a price tag of Rs 1.5 lakhs. Once launched, it will compete against the KTM 250 Duke, Benelli TNT25, Mahindra Mojo UT300 and the upcoming BMW G310 R in the Indian market. Along with this 300cc streetfighter motorcycle, Hero Motocorp will also unveil the Xpulse and Xtreme NXT at the 2018 Auto Expo.
