Hero Motocorp will unveil its newest offering, the Xtreme NXT on 30 January. The manufacturer released a teaser video displaying the date and the tagline 'What's NXT'.
The Xtreme NXT is likely to be based on the 'Xtreme 200S' that was revealed at the 2016 Auto Expo. The Xtreme 200S sported styling elements identical to the standard Xtreme although with sharper creases and lines all through.
Following suit, the Xtreme NXT will also sport an aggressive design language. The headlamp unit will get integrated LED DRLs while the tank is expected to be slightly redesigned to boost its muscular look. The new chassis will house a 200cc single-cylinder engine to propel the bike forward. This unit is expected to produce 18.4bhp at 8500rpm and 17.2Nm of torque at 6000rpm. While the bike will ride on telescopic forks for the front, the rear will get a monoshock; last seen on the Hero Impulse.
The Xtreme NXT would be Hero Motocorp's flagship motorcycle sitting above the Xtreme Sports. It would compete against the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V with an expected price of around Rs 95,000
