Hero MotoCorp has unveiled its new Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Instituted with an investment of Rs 850 crore, the CIT was set up with the aim of developing state of the art products for Indian as well as other global markets.
The CIT will be headed by Dr Markus Braunsperger, the chief technology officer at Hero MotoCorp. The facility houses state of the art technologies for product design and development, testing and validation. The CIT will employ over 500 automotive experts with global and regional expertise. The CIT campus also boasts of a 16-kilometre long test track, which simulates 45 different road surfaces to replicate real world road conditions.
Speaking about the facility, Mr Pawan Munjal, chairman, MD and CEO, Hero MotoCorp Ltd. said, "The CIT is the result of our bold vision to position Hero MotoCorp as the leading source of innovation and green technology. This facility is a giant stride in our relentless endeavour towards strengthening our in-house technology capabilities.”

With the CIT, Hero MotoCorp has paired a diverse group of automotive experts together with world class infrastructure and talent pool.
