- Hero has started home delivery of motorcycles and scooters
- Currently available in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Noida
- Customers need to pay a nominal fee of Rs 349 to avail the service
- To be introduced in more 25 cities over the next few months
Hero MotoCorp has made the ownership experience for its customers more worthwhile by introducing the delivery of new two-wheelers directly to the customer’s doorstep. This first-of-its-kind initiative was initially introduced in three cities including Mumbai, Bengaluru and Noida. The next few months will see the service expanding to 25 cities in a phased manner. Customers have to pay a nominal fee of Rs 349 to avail this service at the time of purchase.
Hero has dubbed the new initiative a part of its new convenience service, which can be opted by logging onto the company’s dedicated e-commerce spares portal, ‘hgpmart.com’. Once an order for a motorcycle or scooter is placed, an executive will get in touch regarding documentation and for balance amount, if any. After physical collection of documents and payment (if any) from the home/office address at the desired time, the customer can choose between having the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) performed at the designated showroom or opt for E- Pre-Delivery Inspection (EPDI) wherein the process will be performed digitally. Once the above procedures are completed, along with the necessary RTO and insurance policy documents, a delivery executive will deliver the new two-wheeler to the provided address at the desired time slot.
Hero’s initiative of having a new two-wheeler delivered to, not just home, but to any address of the buyer’s choice has completely changed the ownership experience for customers now.
