Hero MotoCorp has reported marginal increase in their July 2013 sales. The company sold 4, 87,545 units last month as compared to 4, 84,217 units in the same month last year.
In order to stay ahead of the game, the company recently announced that they have developed three new engines – 100cc, 110cc and 250cc. The company has claimed that all three new engines are better than their current engines which are sourced from their erstwhile-technology partner, Honda. The company has also claimed that all engines have better performance and very fuel-efficient, the fuel efficiency being higher than any other motorcycle currently running on Indian roads.
"Our growth in July has come in the wake of good demand for our motorcycle brands such as Glamour and Ignitor and our scooter models Pleasure and Maestro. We are hopeful of sustaining this positive momentum in the coming months as we gear up for the festive season which would see a slew of launches from us," said Anil Dua, senior vice president, Hero MotoCorp.
