Hero MotoCorp has commenced exporting their products to Latin American countries like Gautemala, Honduras and El Salvador. The first batch was dispatched few weeks ago. This is the first step from Hero in its ambitious plan of establishing itself in the international markets.
The company is planning to gradually expand its international business to places like South-east Asia, Central America, Latin America and Africa.
"The company has already started dispatching its two-wheelers to some new international markets from January. The company has finalised the distributors and channel partners in its new markets in Latin America and Africa. Hero is also set to start its operations in African markets anytime soon. In just a matter of weeks, the company will announce the launch of Brand Hero in these new markets in Latin America and Africa. Hero is also actively exploring the possibility of setting up assembly units in some of these markets once the volumes pick up," a source told economictimes on condition of anonymity.
However, the company says that they have identified distributors for these markets and will disclose the details on it when it is appropriate to.
