- Paulo has over 12 years of rally-racing experience
- He will be the fourth rider in Hero’s rally racing team
Hero MotoSports Team Rally has expanded its rally racing team by appointing Portuguese rider Paulo Goncalves as its fourth rider. Paulo has over 12 years of experience in rally racing and has also been crowned the 2013 FIM Cross Country Rally World Champion. Besides that, he also bagged the runners-up standing in the 2015 Dakar Rally.
Paulo will be seen competing along with his fellow mates Joaquim "JRod" Rodrigues, Oriol Mena and CS Santosh. In fact, he will be making his debut as a Hero MotoSports Team rally rider at the upcoming Silkway Rally in June which that will take place in Russia, Mongolia and China.
Over the past few months, Hero’s rally racing team has registered quite a few impressive performances. The team achieved a podium finish in the recent 2019 Merzouga Rally held in Morocco while securing two top-10 finishes during the 2019 edition of the legendary Dakar Rally.

I am very happy and excited to start this new journey with the team and I hope to contribute to the team's aim of improving our performance in the rally sport.
