Hero MotoSports teases new Dakar bike

There’s a new Dakar bike coming from Hero MotoSports. The company has released a teaser image of this motorcycle on its social media channels. 

The teaser image reveals just the upper section of the motorcycle - headlamp unit, seat and the tail section. The front fork tubes and chassis have been partially exposed and the rest has been blacked out. Apart from a few cosmetic changes, expect the new Dakar to sport some mechanical changes as well. The 450cc liquid-cooled motor of this rally bike produces close to 54bhp with a rev limit of around 12,500rpm. The 450 Rally bike is equipped with the necessary technology to help the bike during the grueling 9000km long journey. It has an integrated road book, two fuel tanks and primary and secondary and emergency water reservoirs. 

Hero MotoSports Team Rally is a result of Hero MotoCorp and Speedbrain joining hands. The Indian team ran an upgraded version of Speedbrain’s 450 rally bike last year. This year too, the new bike will be ridden by CS Santosh and Joaquim Rodrigues. 

We’re quite eager to see the new Hero Dakar bike. The team has put India on the global motorsport map and that’s a huge thing for the country.
