Hero Electric has reduced the price of the Optima HX range post the increase in the FAME-II subsidy. The single battery variant of the electric scooter is now available at Rs 53,600 as against Rs 61,640 previously. Interested buyers can book the electric scooter via the company’s website for a token amount of Rs 2,999.
The Hero Optima HX uses a 1200watt electric motor and boasts a top speed of 42kmph. The 51.2V/30Ah portable battery promises a range of 82km per charge while it takes upto five hours to fully recharge. Buyers can also opt for the dual-battery version of the scooter that promises a range of 122km per charge. The dual-battery variant is available at Rs 58,980.
The Optima HX features apron-mounted turn indicators, a digital instrument cluster, a USB port, 12-inch alloy wheels, an LED headlight, remote lock, and anti-theft alarm. The styling cues also include graphics on the apron and the body panels, a step-up seat, and a single-piece pillion grab rail. Buyers can purchase the Optima HX in four colour options – Red, Grey, Blue, and White.
