After updating the Splendor with the XTEC treatment, Hero MotoCorp also launched the Passion XTEC a few days ago. Similar to the Splendor, the Passion too has become a household name over the years. And now with the new list of features, it aims to amp up the value for money even more. So, let’s take a look at its top 5 highlights.
Design
The Hero Passion XTEC carries the same commuter-friendly design as the standard model. Thanks to the upright handlebar and center-set footpegs, it gets a comfortable rider triangle. Even the headlight has been updated with an LED unit and LED DRLs. That said, the XTEC has carried over all the other mechanical bits.
Engine
Hero has plonked in the same 110cc, single-cylinder mill in the Passion XTEC too. It develops 9bhp and 9.79Nm, which is similar to the base models. Even the four-speed gearbox and the i3S technology remain unchanged.
Features
The features list is where the Passion XTEC has seen maximum changes. It boasts LED illumination, and a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. The latter gives you access to SMS and call alerts. The bike even gets a side-stand engine cut-off sensor as well as service reminders.
Cycle Parts
Hero has equipped the Passion XTEC with the same conventional telescopic forks and dual rear shocks. You can buy the bike with a Drum brake setup or a Disc brake. Even the wheels have been retained on the new model.
Price
Hero has priced Passion XTEC at Rs 74,590 for the Drum brake model, while the Disc brake unit retails at Rs 78,990 (both ex-showroom Delhi).
