- New Hero Pleasure Plus Platinum variant launched
- Gets new paint scheme and additional cosmetic elements
- Demands a premium of Rs 2,000 over the Cast Wheel variant
Hero MotoCorp has added more excitement to its scooter portfolio with an aim to boost sales during this festive season. After launching the new Stealth edition of the Maestro Edge 125, the company has now launched the Platinum variant of the Pleasure Plus 110cc scooter. It has been pegged at Rs 60,950 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is a premium of Rs 2000 over the top-spec Cast Wheel trim.
For that extra Rs 2,000, you get a host of additional cosmetic elements which prominently distinguish it from the regular variants. Firstly, the entire bodywork has been finished in Matte Black shade which looks eye-catchy with the new brown-coloured inner panels and a dual-tone seat. It also looks more retro due to the chrome treatment on the mirrors, exhaust muffler, handlebar ends and front fender. Completing its distinctive look are the pillion backrest, white wheel rim tapes and 3D logo. Furthermore, there’s an extra feature in the form of a low fuel indicator.
Besides the aforementioned cosmetic additions, the Pleasure Plus remains identical to rest of the variants in all other aspects. Powering the scooter is a 110.9cc, air-cooled engine which churns out 8bhp and 8.7Nm. It rides on 10inch wheels which are suspended by link-type forks up front and spring-loaded hydraulic dampers at the rear. Braking is handled by a drum at both ends with a combined braking system.
Considering it’s pitched as a women-oriented scooter, the closest rival of the Hero Pleasure Plus is the TVS Scooty Zest 110. However, in terms of displacement, it also faces competition from the Honda Activa 6G, Honda Dio and the TVS Jupiter.
