- New Hero Pleasure XTec edition launched
- Gets Bluetooth-enabled semi-digital console
- First-in-class LED projector headlamp on offer
Hero MotoCorp has upped its scooter game by launching the new Pleasure Plus XTec edition in India. It gets a host of additional features which set it apart from other variants of the scooter.
What comes as a segment-first feature in the Pleasure Plus XTec is the LED projector headlamp that’s claimed to deliver 25 per cent better illumination. Another highlight is the availability of Bluetooth functionality for its semi-digital instrument cluster. Once connected with the rider’s smartphone, the updated cluster gives incoming call alerts, missed call alerts, message alerts, and phone battery status.
The Pleasure Plus XTec is available in a new Jubilant Yellow colour that’s exclusive to this variant. Similar to the already existing Platinum variant of the scooter, the Xtec trim features chrome accents on certain body panels along with a pillion backrest.
The rest of the aspects of the Pleasure Plus XTec remain the same as other variants. It is powered by a 110cc, air-cooled engine that churns out 8bhp of power at 7,000rpm and 8.7Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. To help you save fuel, Hero has equipped the scooter with the i3S technology which is essentially the auto start-stop function. It also gets the side stand engine cut-off switch.
Hero has priced the new Pleasure Plus XTec at Rs 69,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which makes it around Rs 3,000 more expensive than the Platinum trim which was the top-spec model until now. Looking at the updates the XTec incorporates, the added premium seems justified.
