- Overall Hero sales drop by 25.9 per cent
- Exports increase by 35 per cent
- To launch new Xpulse 200 4V soon
Hero Motocorp has announced a 25.9 per cent decline in sales numbers for September 2021. The manufacturer sold 5.30 lakh motorcycles and scooters last month as compared to the 7.15 lakh units in September last year.
Out of this number, 4.89 lakh motorcycles were sold in India which again is a 25.95 per cent decrease compared to the same period in 2020. Even scooter sales declined from 54,770 in September 2020 to 40,929 last month. Nevertheless, the export market for Hero showed some improvement over last year. The manufacturer sold around 25,000 motorcycles and scooters overseas as against the 18, 425 units exported in Sep’20.
Moreover, Hero Motocorp sales have also shown a 16.8 per cent month-on-month growth from August 21. It is also banking on the upcoming festive season for a further increase in sales numbers. And to keep things interesting, Hero is expected to launch the Xpulse 200 4V and the special edition Xtreme 160R in the market.
