Hero Motocorp has announced an increase of 9 per cent in total sales in the month of July.
The Delhi-based manufacturer sold 6,79,862 units last month as compared to the 623,239 units it sold in the same month last year. Hero continues to retain its position as the biggest motorcycle manufacturer in India with Honda coming in second. For a scale, Honda sold a total of 5.48 lakh units last month.
Hero will soon begin the pan-India deliveries of the Xtreme 200R which is currently available in North Eastern states. It is also expected to launch the Duet 125 and Maestro Edge 125 in the next couple of months, just in time for the festive season. Hero’s most anticipated launch this year is the Xpulse 200 which is likely to arrive in showrooms by the end of 2018.
