This year seems to be the era of 125cc scooters; and Hero has joined the bandwagon by unveiling the Duet 125 at the on-going Auto Expo.
The scooter remains the same cosmetically with its full-metal body moulded into a very modern and dynamic shape. However, the Duet 125 gets its turn indicators on the front apron and a large chrome strip that looks like a headlamp. It also gets alloy wheels for a more premium feel. The Duet 125 also differs from the smaller Duet 110 in its colours and badging.
It is powered by a 125cc engine that produces 8.7bhp of max power and 10.2Nm of torque. With prices unannounced, we can expect the Duet 125 to be priced around Rs 50,000 to Rs 55,000. It will compete against the Honda Activa 125 and the Suzuki Access 125 in the Indian market.
