Hero MotoCorp continues to be India’s top two wheeler manufacturer with a growth of 13 per cent in June 2018.
The manufacturer sold an overall 7,04,562 units last month as compared to the 6,24,185 units sold in the same period in 2017. This is the third month in 2018 wherein Hero has recorded sales numbers of over 7 lakh with April (706,365 units) and March (730,473 units) being the other two. Hero accredits its growth to its best-selling motorcycles, the Splendor and HF Deluxe along with its highest selling scooter, the Maestro Edge.
With the forecast of a good monsoon and the festive season just around the corner, Hero is expected to see a steady growth in sales numbers over the coming months. On the other hand, the manufacturer has also increased prices of its range by up to Rs 500 to balance out the rising input costs. The manufacturer will soon launch four new products; the Xtreme 200R and Xpulse along with the 125cc Maestro and Duet in the Indian market.
