Hero MotoCorp has recorded a 26 per cent increase in two-wheeler sales in November 2017 as compared to the corresponding period in the last year.
With over 6.05 lakh two-wheelers sold, the company has cemented its position as the country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer. With this, Hero has breached the six lakh mark for monthly two-wheeler sales for the seventh time in a row. Of the total sales number, 5.25 lakh units were motorcycles while the remaining 80,046 units were from the scooter range.
Although it has been eclipsed by the Honda Activa as the highest selling two-wheeler in the country, the Splendor continues its reign as the most popular motorcycle. It is followed by the HF Deluxe and the Passion. Among the scooters, the Maestro Edge is the highest selling model. Last month, the company made its presence felt at the world’s biggest motorcycle show, the EICMA, with the XPulse concept, which is expected to go on sale next year.
