- Hero Xpulse 200 crosses 10,000 unit sales mark in Kerala
- First state to cross this milestone
Hero MotoCorp has sold over 10,000 units of its adventure motorcycle, the Xpulse 200, in Kerala which is India’s first state to record a sales number this high. The motorcycle was launched in April 2019 and went to win the 2020 Indian Motorcycle of the Year (IMOTY) award.
The BS6-compliant model of the Xpulse 200 was launched in July last year. Owing to the BS6-bound revisions in its engine, the motorcycle witnessed a marginal drop in its power and torque output which stand at 17.8bhp and 16.45Nm, respectively. But out in the world, there’s hardly any difference felt and the engine now actually feels torquier and smoother. You read our first ride review of the BS6 Xpulse 200 here. We also have the motorcycle in our long-term fleet and we have kitted it with Hero’s official rally kit. Links to our rally kit long term reports have been attached below.

The Hero XPulse 200 rides on a 21-18-inch spoke wheel combination which is suspended by telescopic forks up front and a 10-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by a 276mm at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear, assisted by single-channel ABS. Weighing at 157kg (kerb), it is fairly light which makes it a great ADV for beginners.
