Hero unveiled over a dozen products at the Auto Expo 2014. One amongst these products was an innovative electric two-wheeler concept, named as the SimplEcity.
The Hero SimplEcity is an electric motorcycle developed by the Indian manufacturer. It features LED lights on the handlebar, a hydraulic front disc brake and a dashboard to hold any smart phone. The weight of the concept bike is just 35kg. The bike has a removable battery pack for the convenience of recharging. It can run for 54kms in a single charge.
The bike is powered by a torsional motor placed in the rear wheel. The bike is capable of doing the 0 to 60kmph run in 9.8 seconds.
Though the SimplEcity, unveiled by Hero MotoCorp at Auto Expo 2014, is a concept bike, we hope such eco-friendly products see the light of the day and are made available for the masses.
