Majority of Hero MotoCorp dealers in the metro cities have stopped stocking up the Splendor 100 iSmart. This development took place after the Splendor 110 iSmart was launched.
We spoke with a couple of dealers who were interested in selling the Splendor 110 iSmart more over the 100cc model. The reason being there’s just a difference of close to Rs 1000 only on both these bikes. The customers who walk into these showrooms, prefer to buy the new Splendor 110 iSmart more due to the same reason. The dealers are also happy to push this new product as it helps them save a lot of time and effort, if not money, by keeping only the Splendor 110 iSmart in stock.
For the ongoing festive season, these dealers kept more of the Splendor 110 iSmart units. While there are a couple of dealers who have the 100cc bike in stock, most of them tend to clear the stocks and order the 110cc model only.
The Splendor 110 iSmart is Hero MotoCorp’s first motorcycle that has been developed completely by them and their partners. While during the launch, the top honcho did mention about their intention to sell the Splendor 100 alongside, these recent sales developments show a decrease in its overall sales. However, in the rural market, the Splendor 100 iSmart won’t see a big difference and will continue to be sold in good numbers.
