Hero MotoCorp is all set to launch the Splendor iSmart 110 tomorrow. Unveiled at the Auto Expo this year, the motorcycle is aimed mainly at achieving high fuel efficiency with its start stop tech.
The 110cc engine that powers the Splendor iSmart 110 is a new one developed inhouse by Hero MotoCorp along with its engine partner - AVL. It makes 9bhp at 7500rpm and has a peak torque of 9Nm at 5500rpm. As per Hero MotoCorp, this engine claims to offer nine per cent more power and 12 per cent higher torque than the one in the 100cc Splendor iSmart. Along with increase in power and torque, there's also an increase in fuel efficiency.
In terms of features, the Splendor iSmart 110 gets the start stop system (i3s) and a decent looking speedometer. There’s a small LCD screen that shows the trip meter, odometer and fuel level. We’re expecting Hero MotoCorp to launch this bike with a wide range of attractive paint schemes and decals – something that’ll attract a wide range of buyers. However, in terms of design, Hero is sticking to the design language of the 100cc model.
We’re expecting the motorcycle to be priced around Rs 55,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the base version.
