Hero MotoCorp has announced a new paint option for its 100cc commuter-segment motorcycle, the Splendor Plus. This motorcycle is now available in Silver Nexus Blue colour, thus bringing the total number of paint options to six. The new Silver Nexus Blue joins the existing palette that comprises – black with purple, black with sports red, heavy grey with green, matte shield gold, and black with silver.
The Splendor Plus is part of the company’s highest-selling Splendor range. This motorcycle is powered by a 97.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that produces 7.9bhp at 8,000rpm and 8.05Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The engine is linked to a four-speed gearbox. Further, the Splendor Plus benefits from the company’s idle-start-stop technology that is claimed to improve fuel economy by nine per cent.
The safety net on the motorcycle comprises engine cut-off at fall and combined braking system. Other features include a halogen headlight, bulb-type turn indicators, halogen taillight, and a digital instrument cluster.
The Splendor Plus rivals the likes of TVS Radeon, Star City Plus, Bajaj Platina, and Honda CD 110 Dream in the Indian market.
