Hero MotoCorp has launched the Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 in India and it is priced at Rs. 82,911. The latest edition comes draped in new two-tone paint schemes of Matte Grey, Gloss Black and Gloss Red.
Apart from that, this Hero commuter features an LED headlight and revised graphics as well. That said, its commuter build is intact and you get the same simple and purposeful structure with minimal bodywork. The Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 comes with side hooks, and a tubular grab rail which also doubles down as a small tail rack. The chrome-finished engine crash guard also remains unchanged.
Powering the Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 is a 100cc single-cylinder engine that makes 7.09bhp and 8.05Nm. This motor is linked to a four-speed gearbox and is known for its frugal performance.
On the hardware front, the Hero Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 keeps is quite minimal and you get telescopic front forks, dual rear springs, and a drum brake at both ends. Apart from this, the bike benefits from a USB charger, and a fully digital console with Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS notifications and more
When compared to the older model, the Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 costs Rs. 3,000 more. It rivals the Honda Shine 100 which recently completed a 3-lakh sales unit mark.
