Hero MotoCorp recently launched the updated Splendor Plus Xtec in India as the 2.0 version. The Splendor has been a household name in the commuter market and is well-known nationwide for being a trusty bike. Its latest trim packs a few updates and here are its top highlights.
Cosmetic Updates
Although the majority design of the Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 remains the same, its headlight has been tweaked slightly. If you notice carefully, the LED DRL integrated above the headlight that we saw in the previous model, has been removed and now the entire headlight setup is LED. Moreover, the bike also comes with revised graphics which give it a welcome refresh.
Feature Loaded
Hero has carried over the list of modern features on its affordable commuter. So, the Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 continues to get an LED headlight as well as a fully digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity, and a USB charging slot as well.
Same Engine
Powering the bike is a 100cc single-cylinder engine that makes 7.09bhp and 8.05Nm. It is mated to a four-speed gearbox and the engine has proven to be quite fuel-efficient for years. The overall low maintenance paired with the pocket-friendly performance makes the Splendor a good choice for daily commuting.
Simple Hardware
That said, the overall simple structure is suspended on telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks. Its brakes comprise a drum setup on both ends with alloy wheels.
Affordable Asking Price
The Hero Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0's asking price is Rs. 82,911, just Rs. 3,000 more than before.
