Hero MotoCorp recently updates one of its most popular models, the Splendor Plus, with the XTEC trim. The update has brought in a list of new features for the commuter along with a small premium compared to the other models. Let’s take a closer look at the bike through these images.
The Splendor Plus XTEC gets the same design as all the other models. It boasts a rectangular halogen headlight topped by an LED unit and flanked by bulb indicators. Even the mirrors and the overall bodywork has been carried over. Not to mention, there are lots of chrome bits all over the bike.
It retains the single-piece seat, blacked-out wheels, engine casing, and the exhaust with a chrome-finished cover. Even the rear luggage rack is the same.
The Splendor Plus XTEC is powered by a 97.2cc air-cooled engine that makes 7.9bhp and 8.05Nm. It gets the same 4-speed gearbox.
On the feature front, the Splendor Plus XTEC benefits from a fully digital instrument cluster. The LCD houses a speedometer, odometer, and fuel level readout and gets Bluetooth connectivity too. The latter allows call and SMS alerts. It also packs a real-time mileage readout. You also get a USB charging port.
The Splendor Plus gets the same braking and suspension hardware with its XTEC trim as well – telescopic front forks with dual rear shocks and drum brakes at both ends
It rides on 18-inch alloys wrapped in 80/100 tyre setup. The Splendor Plus XTEC tips the weight scale at 112kg and gets a fuel tank capacity of 9.8-litres.
Hero offers the bike four paint schemes: Sparkling Beta Blue, Canvas Black, Pearl White, and Tornado Grey. All four colours retail at the same asking price of Rs 72,900 (ex-showroom Delhi).
