Hero Motocorp has launched the first-ever Splendor with a disc brake at the front. It is the Splendor Plus Xtec and with this hardware update, the bike is now priced at Rs. 83,461 (ex-showroom, Delhi). That said, the drum brake trim still costs Rs. 79,911 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Apart from this, the bike remains unchanged on the design, engine, and feature front. It gets the same slim and purposeful design. The Splendor is a household name and has been around for years. It has a simple structure overall with a rectangular headlight topped by an LED DRL.
The Hero Splendor Plus Xtec is powered by a 100cc single-cylinder engine that makes 7.09bhp and 8.05Nm. It is linked to a four-speed gearbox. On the feature front, the Xtec trim gets a fully digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity, and a USB charging slot too.
Its hardware too is fairly basic and comprises telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks. The braking hardware, as mentioned above, now consists a front disc and rear drum brake mounted on alloy wheels.
